We had a wonderful time in Birmingham. 5 weeks to spend with friends and family! You would think in 5 weeks I would be able to visit with everyone, but unfortunately, that's not the case. I spent a lot of time just figuring out how to be a newborn's mom! Traveling wasn't easy, so we didn't get out much. I didn't get a picture with everyone we visited, but here are a few pictures from the trip:
Tempie said she didn't know how to hold newborns because they are so "floppy." She had some practice and by the end of our trip, she was much better :)
Meeting Uncle Dylan
Mamu had the magic touch. She didn't get to see his eyes open, because he was so relaxed while she held him!
Cousin Charlie and baby Charlie.
Hutch always checks on baby boy.
Going for a stroll on Jemison Trail.
Sweet pups at Gigi's house.
Charlie celebrated his one month birthday!
Our first outing for Tori's Bridal Tea.
Aunt Becca came home from college to meet Charlie.
Quick trip to Auburn to meet Uncle Joseph and Aunt Kelly.
Blaire, Caroline, and Charlie's new friend Bill Louis (coming November 19th!)
Charlie at Otey's with Lacey, Margaret, and Ford.
Charlie met Kara in Montgomery...
where he also met baby Hudson (one month apart).
Charlie was all smiles, especially when...
Daddy came home and Charlie got to snuggle with him!
Charlie was UNhappy at Caroline's 2nd birthday party, but
luckily, his daddy had the magic touch
and all was right with the world.
Except for the Auburn score, of course.
Now we are back in North Carolina and getting the hang of Eastern time!
Blowing bubbles.
Chatting with daddy before bath time.
Lots of yawns
and lots of smiles!
The dogs were excited when we found a new walking trail.
I have NO IDEA where he got the pouty lip from :)
8 weeks old!!
Sorry to leave out all of the details... 5 weeks in one post is a little much! We're back in North Carolina until the Georgia game when we have our Twelvegate reunion...
We'll be in touch.
