Charlie's First (and last) Rolling of the Original Toomer's Oaks

Such a memorable weekend! We drove to Augusta Thursday night and stayed with Brad and Erin Snead. We haven't seen them since their wedding and it was so nice catching up over a delicious meal prepared by Erin. Friday morning we were in their living room and I sat Charlie down on their rug. I said, "Crawl to Mama," like I always do and he did! He CRAWLED!!! We were so excited!! And our lives will never be the same...
We drove to Auburn and headed to Ray and Joanna's. We cooked out at their house Friday night and got to spend time with their sweet girls, Hollis and Reed, and with Anderson, Megan, and their son Mason. How times have changed! Hanging out in the playroom, surrounded by toys... We loved spending time with great friends!
Saturday was A-Day! It was PACKED!! 83,401 of our closest friends piled into Jordan Hare. We sat close to our usual area, but because of the crowd, we moved to the upper deck and met up with David's cousins. Charlie was such a trooper!

 He loved cousin Caitlin:

The jury is still out on Matt :)
Jill and Ryan were close by so they came over to visit!
After the game we sat in the concourse across from Haley and got lunch from Tex's Taco Truck... delish! Charlie had a great time playing around with his daddy!

After we ate, we headed back to Ray and Joanna's to avoid the initial crowd at Toomer's and to let Charlie take a nap. We waited until about 6, then headed to throw our last roll. I took a bazillion pictures, but here are just a few hundred:

We ran into Rainer and Emily C!

Charlie was happy and smiling, but then I think all of the bouncing caught up to him:

It was like a toilet paper wonderland!

After celebrating the oaks, we went to Jason and Melissa's house for their crawfish boil. Charlie and his girlfriend were matching in their navy gingham!
It was a long, exhausting day, but we couldn't pass up playing with Reed and Hollis until bedtime!

We will always remember this weekend. So much joy and laughter. Charlie crawled, Trees were rolled, and Boston Bomber apprehended. Not bad for 2 days!

Carly's Wedding Tea

Last Sunday we attended cousin Carly's wedding tea. We had a great time visiting with everyone! Here Charlie is with the beautiful bride to be:
Sweet little surprise for Carly! Meet Pippa the Corgi:
I loved the pictures of her in the purple flowers so much that I had to stick Charlie in there for some photos too!

 Charlie loved sweet Pippa

We are looking forward to the wedding in a just few weeks!!!

A Day at the Beach: Picture Overload

The family took a day trip to Carolina Beach this past Sunday and we had such a wonderful time.  We went to the state park where you can drive out on the beach, and the next car was probably 200 yards  (or more) away from us, which was so nice! Charlie loved the sand and LOVED watching the waves.
Get ready for picture overload...
