We've had a very busy December! I'm posting while Charlie is napping (still in maximum lengths of 30-45 minutes), so we'll call this part one of the December summary.
On December 16th, our sweet little boy was baptized. It was such an amazing day and I was one proud mama! Such a blessing to have Charlie baptized in the church where David and I first became members as husband and wife.
Charlie wore a gown that has been worn by 6 other children in the family. Charlie (cousin), Jackie, and Rebecca all wore this gown as well. So special! Just FYI, don't refer to it as a "dress" in front of David. He's still not thrilled I put Charlie in a gown!
Dr. Mathison (Brother George) came over from the contemporary service to conduct the baptism (that's why he's not in robe). He was so good with Charlie! It was a wonderful service and it was so good to see familiar faces in the crowd and after the service. I got to see former students that will always hold a special place in my heart, former colleagues, and wonderful friends.
Afterwards we gathered in a room with family and friends to celebrate and eat, of course. Mom brought a beautiful flower arrangement and Lisa brought delicious food and treats. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture with everyone, but I got a few.
Family Photo
Sweet pic with Mamu, unfortunately I'm terrible with apple products and still can't figure out how to rotate pictures on this thing. Sorry you're sideways Mamu.
Uncle Jay, Aunt Dawn, and Jackie (a former wearer of the dress gown).
Photo with the Jones Family. If you look closely, you can see Charlie and sweet baby Reed gazing into each other's eyes. Precious angels. Thank you Ray, Joanna, Hollis, and Reed for coming to celebrate with us!
Tempie and Dad with baby boy. Charlie loves to laugh at Tempie and curl his toes around Grump's fingers!
Wendy and Carly with Charles. So special to have y'all there!
And Dr. Palmer made the drive to come as well. Charlie loves his Granddaddy!
It truly was a magnificent day. Thank you to our family and friends for coming. It meant so much to us to have everyone there to support baby Charlie in the beginning of his journey in faith.
